Project questions.
Designing a kitchen or interior involves many decisions before production begins. This page brings together the questions we hear most often, helping you better understand the process and plan your project with confidence.
01. Planning Your Project
Preparing for a successful project starts with understanding the process.
-
Most full Bauhome kitchen projects begin around $50,000, with larger remodels, new construction, or more complex installations typically ranging from $80,000 to $150,000+. Final investment is shaped by layout complexity, material selection, German-engineered cabinetry systems, appliance integration, site conditions, and overall project scope.
For luxury kitchens or broader interior scopes, project investment may extend beyond $200,000. Budget and scope are reviewed early so expectations are aligned before design development begins.
-
The consultation is the first step in understanding your project, design goals, lifestyle, investment, and overall scope. Depending on the project, we review architectural plans or visit the site to assess existing conditions, verify key dimensions, discuss layout opportunities, and establish the initial design direction.
The meeting helps define project priorities, feasibility, timeline, and the appropriate next steps before moving into design development.

Standard production and delivery
German-manufactured kitchens are typically delivered to Los Angeles within 8–12 weeks following final design approval. This timeframe includes production in Löhne, Germany, and standard international shipping.Expedited delivery
For qualifying projects, expedited air freight may be available at an additional cost. Following final design approval, delivery to Los Angeles may be reduced to approximately 2–4 weeks, subject to production capacity, project specifications, and freight availability.Installation timeline
Installation typically takes approximately 1–2 weeks, depending on site readiness, project complexity, and the overall scope of work. A project-specific installation schedule is established during the planning phase. -
Design development includes floor plans, cabinetry layouts, 3D visualizations, material selections, appliance integration, and the technical documentation required for manufacturing and project coordination. The scope of documentation is tailored to the project requirements and established before production begins.
02. Design & Project Coordination
Every stage is coordinated to ensure design intent is carried through to completion.
-
Bauhome provides design development, technical planning, and coordination drawings to fully resolve the project before production and installation.
Depending on the scope, drawings may include cabinetry dimensions, appliance integration, service locations, clearances, and relevant electrical, plumbing, and ventilation requirements for coordination with your architect, interior designer, contractor, and trade partners.
-
Not every project begins with a general contractor. Some clients already have an architect, interior designer, or contractor, while others rely on Bauhome to coordinate the project directly. We coordinate the required trades, technical planning, and installation, providing a clear path from design through completion.
-
Bauhome frequently collaborates with architects, interior designers, and contractors as part of the project team. When a design professional is already involved, we coordinate closely to align cabinetry systems, materials, and manufacturing requirements with the overall architectural vision.
When managing the project directly, we coordinate the required trades, technical planning, and installation to ensure the kitchen or interior system integrates with the broader project from design through installation.
-
Installation is coordinated by Bauhome and carried out by certified installers experienced in German engineered cabinetry systems. Throughout the installation, we work closely with your architect, interior designer, general contractor, and trade partners. When coordinating the project directly, we also manage the required trades to ensure every stage remains aligned with the approved design.
We remain actively involved through the final walkthrough, confirming every detail reflects the original design intent and meets the project’s requirements.
-
Bauhome provides post-installation support for kitchens, closets, and vanities to help ensure each system continues to perform as intended. Follow-up reviews can be arranged during the first year to address adjustments, alignments, or system refinements based on the project scope and selected products.
Ongoing service needs are reviewed case by case according to the manufacturing system, materials, and installation requirements.
03. Products & Manufacturing
Engineered and manufactured in Germany with customization, performance, and long-term durability in mind.
-
Bauhome kitchens are manufactured in Löhne, Germany, by an established German manufacturer recognized for engineering excellence, rigorous quality control, and consistent finish quality.
The manufacturer holds internationally recognized certifications, including the Golden M quality seal from the German Furniture Quality Assurance Association (DGM), one of Europe’s most respected furniture quality certifications, as well as GS-certified product safety compliance under German safety standards.
Each kitchen is manufactured according to the approved project specifications, including dimensions, materials, finishes, storage systems, and integrated details.
-
Appliances are planned as part of the overall kitchen design from the earliest stages of the project. Bauhome coordinates appliance specifications, ventilation requirements, clearances, and cabinetry integration to ensure every component works together as intended.
We work with premium appliance brands, including Miele and Gaggenau, helping clients select appliances that align with the design, technical requirements, and overall vision of the project.
-
Bauhome kitchens, closets, and vanities can be tailored in layout, dimensions, materials, finishes, storage systems, and integrated detailing. We work closely with homeowners, architects, and interior designers to respond to each project’s spatial requirements, design intent, and technical needs.
Each project is configured within the selected German-manufactured cabinetry system, combining a high degree of customization, engineering, advanced manufacturing, and consistent performance.
-
Bauhome offers a wide range of German-manufactured cabinetry systems with more than 200 finish options across selected collections. Available finishes include natural wood veneers, matte and gloss lacquers, metal effects, textured surfaces, and other factory-applied materials developed specifically for each collection.
During the design process, materials and finishes are selected to complement the project’s architectural direction, functional requirements, and overall design intent.
04. Quality & Assurance
Built on certified manufacturing, sustainable practices, and long-term support.
-
Bauhome kitchens are certified to Blue Angel, Germany’s most recognized environmental label, and PEFC certification, verifying that wood-based materials are sourced from responsibly managed forests.
Our German manufacturing partner is also certified as a climate-neutral company and is a member of the Furniture Industry Climate Pact, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to measuring and reducing emissions throughout production.
Materials also comply with CARB2 and TSCA Title VI low-emission standards for particleboard and MDF, supporting healthier indoor air quality and reduced formaldehyde emissions.
-
Every kitchen cabinet comes with a Lifetime Limited Warranty, regardless of the selected line. Warranty terms, coverage details, and applicable conditions are outlined in the project contract, ensuring each client has clear documentation before production begins.
Appliances, countertops, and third-party products are covered by their own manufacturer or brand warranties. For those claims, clients should contact the corresponding company directly. Bauhome can provide guidance when needed for products included in the project scope.
-
Bauhome brings design development, German-manufactured cabinetry, technical planning, delivery, and installation together under one coordinated process.
Rather than treating cabinetry as a standalone product, we integrate it with the project’s architecture, materials, appliances, and technical requirements. From design coordination through manufacturing, delivery, installation, and the coordination of required trades, one team oversees the project from the initial consultation through final installation.
